Loaned Executives
The Loaned Executives are unique volunteer professionals who commit their time to form a team that becomes the heartbeat of the United Way campaign. They raise 73% of the total revenue of the campaign, serving as United Way ambassadors at the many local businesses telling about the investments we make in programs that improve lives in the areas of Education, Income and Health.
In January the LE Chair is selected and begins the process of recruiting two leadership teams: the LE Team Leaders and the LE Account Executives. The LE Team Leaders are the leadership of the program, laying the plan for the year and conducting training sessions. The LE Account Executives are the mentors to the new LE team. They provide guidance and receive a weekly status report on all the LE’s assigned accounts.
Annually the new LE team (25-30 new LEs) begins training in July, during which time they learn about the work of United Way by touring and seeing for themselves the programs in action. They also see for themselves how lives have truly been changed by these programs, an experience that inspires and emboldens the LEs to tell others.
Our local LE program has 35 years of offering professional and personal development. Hundreds of volunteers have experienced the opportunity of serving their community in this program. Companies supporting the program receive community visibility in newspaper ads, United Way publications and workplace campaigns. Their employee receive training in sales and new business development, customer relationship management, and group facilitation and public speaking. The LE works with a company’s top management and employee campaign coordinators (ECC) and builds relationships among their team that last a life time.
United Way appreciates the commitment these volunteers make to our community. Together, united, they inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
