Campaign Cabinet
The North Texas Area United Way Campaign gives everyone the opportunity to be involved in the community. Cabinet volunteers are a prime example of how to LIVE UNITED. They join hands – and open their hearts.
They Give. They Advocate. They Volunteer.
The Campaign Chair recruits strong local leadership of 15 or more volunteers to serve on the North Texas Area United Way Campaign Cabinet. Each cabinet member accepts the challenge to represent a specific segment of the community and recruit their own volunteer team to plan and develop their campaign strategies and assess campaign potential and goals. Cabinet members attend United Way training sessions to learn the new work and serve as an ambassador. They call on CEOs, key supporters, and potential supporters to lay groundwork for the company campaign.
The campaign cabinet meets monthly to report progress of its work. Volunteers are recruited in a pyramid plan, each member accepting the task of recruiting their team creating a group of over 500 volunteers to conduct a successful campaign. Over the course of the campaign, volunteers contribute over 3,000 work hours.
United Way manages three separate campaigns: the local United Way campaign, the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) and the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Each campaign is driven by a chair and a local committee.
