WE ALL WIN

When the lives of women and children are improved

The North Texas Area United Way Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) was founded by 7 amazing women in 2007. The Women’s Leadership Council is about women being involved in their community. WLC offers women the opportunity to give, advocate and volunteer on issues affecting women and children—giving women a voice to support issues they care about most.

The goal of the Women's Leadership council is to encourage, educate, and energize women in the ways of philanthropy to make a difference in our community. It specifically promotes initiatives and/or programs that support women and children in North Texas. The Women’s Leadership Council is about more than just raising funds. It’s about giving women a greater voice in our community.

Message from the Chair

"In 2007, 7 women made a leadership commitment to help make real and lasting changes in our community. Two years later, 63 distinguished women have joined the WLC as guardians of our community.

The WLC focus goes beyond raising funds. We're raising hopes, creating opportunities and changing lives. The WLC has the power to generate change, to transform the tomorrows of those in need."

Dottie Morrison

Chair, WLC
